Dr. Rahmawati Husein

Dr. Rahmawati Husein is the lecturer at MIHI Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), an assistant professor of the Jusuf Kalla School of Government as well as an activist of Muhammadiyah. She is widely known as an expert on urban/development planning, change management, and disaster risk reduction.  Currently, she is a vice chair of Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center (MDMC), the Central Board of Muhammadiyah. She received her BA in English literature from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, her master in community planning, from University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA and PhD in urban and regional planning focusing on disaster management from Texas A&M University, Texas, US.
